Otsu Uochu is located in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture.We operate our restaurant in a historic townhouse built in 1905.The building was selected as a national registered tangible cultural property, and the garden was also created for us by a modern garden designer known by the trade name Ueji. While you are sightseeing in Shiga, please relax and enjoy local Shiga cuisine and traditional Japanese dishes made with seasonal ingredients as you take in the beautiful scenery.

There are 6 private rooms on the first and second floor combined.One room has a sunken hearth, while the remainder have table seating.One of the rooms with table seating looks out on the back garden.
*Generally speaking, we cannot accept reservations for specific seating arrangements, but please consult with us if you have a request.

For lunch, we recommend the Kayu Lunch Basket.This traditional basket made with care by artisans is packed with seasonal dishes and foods gathered from the lakes and mountains of the Omi region.
